Dan Winters
Silver Gelatin Print30X19
This is Dan's famous portrait of legendary Texas Ranger Joaquin Jackson. The portrait was shot on assignment for TEXAS MONTHLY magazine in 1993 and appeared as the cover photo for a feature article on the Rangers. The photo became an instant classic, and that issue became one of the best selling in the history of the award-winning magazine. This great photograph has now become one of the most iconic images of 20th century Texas. A ten foot tall print has greeted international visitors at George Bush Airport in Houston, and prints can be found in many public places throughout the Lone Star State. A truly classic image by one of the very best fine art photographers working today. We have both signed and unsigned prints available.
