1940 Edward H. Bohlin Sterling Silver Parade Saddle

Artwork Inquiry

Edward H. Bohlin

SOLD

1940 Dixon model Bohlin sterling silver parade saddle from Hollywood's “silversmith to the stars.”

Built on a Miles City Tree with 14” swells, 15” seat, and a 4” cantle with silver rope edge, the black saddle is lavishly floral carved on oak-bark tanned leather and exquisitely engraved.

The saddle, bridle and breast collar are all matching with diamonds and half-diamond conchos intermixed with Bohlin spots and elegant corner plates. Horn and front are made of one-piece heavy gauge sterling extending from the arch to under the gullet.

An indisputable 70 year-old classic in fine condition. Very rare and highly collectible.
