For this great collection we have assembled three fabulous, original paintings from our featured art collection which beautifully illustrates the history of the magnificent Texas Capitol.
First is David Sanders' wonderful pastel which documents President Mirabeau B. Lamar's selection of the location for the new capitol of the Republic of Texas: TEXAS STATE CAPITOL, AUSTIN, TEXAS - 1839.
Second is G. Harvey's great early 20th century view of the capitol from Congress Avenue - LONE STAR STATE.
Third is Rod Chase's spectacular 2011 painting of the building as it appears today: THE TEXAS CAPITOL.
Together, these three Texas master artists have created a visually stunning history of the home of Texas democracy and the spirit of freedom and independence that lives in this grand old building.
