Dr. Ron Burgess, known to family and friends as “Tacho,” is the Former Chairman of the Comanche Nation.
A professional educator, Dr. Burgess had a long and distinguished career in the Comanche Nation school system and as a college teacher and administrator.
Dr. Burgess’ fine pen and ink rendering pays tribute to his ancestor, the last Comanche Chief, Quanah Parker.
Chairman Burgess is the father of acclaimed Comanche artists Nocona Parker Burgess of Santa Fe and Quanah Parker Burgess of Cache.
