Manuel S. Franco was born in Coyame, a northwestern state of Chihuahua, Mexico. His heritage is not only Mexican but also Apache. He received a degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Chihuahua. After mining throughout Mexico for many years, Manuel became a full-time artist. He creates great art of the American West not only in his fine sculpture, but also in pencil, watercolor and oil.
Manuel has received international recognition for his art and is the recipient of numerous awards, including a one-man show at the Quinta Gameros Museum in Mexico.
